Greenscape of Jacksonville, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching Jacksonville through planting, protecting and promoting trees, invites the Jacksonville community to the second annual “Greenscape Tree Festival.” The family-focused fundraising event will take place March 24th, Jacksonville’s Official Arbor Day, at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds.
The Tree Festival replaces Greenscape’s annual tree sale. Instead of selling trees, the organization plans to give away thousands trees to attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. Activities will include children’s arts and crafts, a petting zoo, entertainment and educational talks on trees and the environment. Specially selected vendors and food trucks, including beer, will be available onsite.
