Urban Tree Ranger
Volunteers are needed for Urban Tree Ranger events. Greenscape of Jacksonville, Inc. invites you to help prune and nourish trees in two locations this year. During this award winning event volunteers spend a Saturday morning learning how to improve the health and appearance of trees. Following a brief presentation, volunteers are divided into groups under the supervision of forestry professionals. The fun begins with hands-on instruction as we provide the care our city trees need to survive and flourish. Volunteers should bring pruning tools and work gloves. As with all our volunteer events, Greenscape supports youth involvement (15 years and older) and will verify community hours. The event is free and participants will receive an Urban Tree Ranger t-shirt and an informative handbook on proper pruning techniques. Please call for reservations. 398-5757.
