Urban Tree Ranger - Tree Pruning Event - Postponed
This event has been postponed, however we hope to reschedule the event some time in early March. This is the award winning event that invites volunteers to spend a Saturday morning learning how to improve the health and appearance of trees. Following a brief presentation, volunteers are divided into groups under the supervision of forestry professionals. The fun begins with hands-on instruction as we provide the care our city trees need to survive and flourish. Volunteers should bring pruning tools and work gloves. As work will be close to a highway, no one under the age of fourteen may participate. Volunteers will receive an informative pruning booklet and a special t-shirt. This is a fee free event, but registration is recommended.
